Eligibility check
We confirm your sanctioned load, feeder and transformer capacity, and the system size that will be approved, before you commit.
We take care of the entire process with your DISCOM. You just start saving.
Net metering is what lets your rooftop system send surplus power to the grid and set it off against your night-time use. Getting it approved means forms, drawings, fees, and utility visits. Paso Solar does all of it for you, across BESCOM, HESCOM, MESCOM, GESCOM, and CESC areas.
A normal meter only counts the power you take from the grid. A net meter counts both directions, so the solar you produce but do not use straight away still works for you.
When your panels make more than the house is using, the extra flows to the grid and your meter records it.
After dark you import from the grid as usual, and the credit from the day is set off against it.
The bill is raised on the difference between what you imported and what you exported over the billing cycle.
How leftover credit carries forward or is settled is set by your utility's current policy, which we explain upfront.
Think of the grid as a bank for your solar power. On a sunny afternoon when nobody is home, your system “deposits” the surplus. In the evening, when the panels stop and the house is busy, you “withdraw” against that deposit instead of buying every unit fresh.
Using solar power yourself, as it is made, is still worth the most. Net metering makes sure the rest is not simply lost.
The full process, start to finish. Not guidance or coordination on the side — we do the work.
We confirm your sanctioned load, feeder and transformer capacity, and the system size that will be approved, before you commit.
We prepare the DISCOM application, the single-line diagram, and every supporting document, and file it under your connection.
We pay the application and processing fees on your behalf and manage every submission and resubmission.
Our engineer attends the DISCOM feasibility check and the post-installation inspection, and closes out any points raised.
We coordinate the removal of your old meter and the fitting of the bidirectional net meter.
We confirm the connection is live under net metering and show you how to read the new bill.
Approval, the sanctioned-capacity limit, and the credit rate are decided by the DISCOM under current policy. Our job is to run the process correctly so nothing is delayed by a missing form or a wrong drawing.
The stages are similar across DISCOMs. We manage all of them.
Eligibility and capacity confirmed
Application and drawings filed with the DISCOM
Utility approves the technical feasibility
System installed, DISCOM inspection completed
Net meter fitted, connection goes live
No. Our team files the application, submits the drawings, pays the fees, attends the feasibility and inspection visits, and coordinates the meter change. You sign where your signature is legally needed, and that is all.
Your meter records both directions. When your panels send surplus power to the grid during the day, those units are credited. When you draw from the grid at night, the credit is set off against it. You are billed on the net units, so daytime solar you cannot use yourself is not wasted.
Most are, but it depends on your sanctioned load, the capacity of your local transformer and feeder, and the system size. We check all of this before you commit, so there are no surprises after installation.
It varies with the DISCOM's queue and the season. We give you a realistic timeline for your connection after the site survey and keep you updated at each stage rather than leaving you guessing.
The credit rate and how unused credit is carried forward or settled are set by your DISCOM under the current net metering policy, not by us. We explain exactly how it will work for your connection before you sign.
We handle net metering across Karnataka — BESCOM, HESCOM, MESCOM, GESCOM, and CESC Mysuru areas. The forms and fees differ slightly between them, and we manage that for you.
Share your connection details and area. We will confirm your eligibility and take it from there.
